Research and planning - preliminary task view

-In my group we have been doing a preliminary task which contists of filiming a conversation using different shot types. The shot types we included are medium shot, close up shot, long shot, high shot, low angle shot, two shot and over the shoulder shot.
- Our preliminary task is a job interview. It shows the interviewer sitting down waiting outside the room to get interviewed. Included in this shot is a close up of the interviewee looking nervous and worried. This is effective as it infers that the interviewee is uptight and nervous and it shall make the audience feel more engaged with the character and the narrative of the clip. After that the interviewee looks at her watch then gets up and walks towards the door. Then the interviewee opens the door which includes a close up shot to the door handle when she opens. By having a close up of the door it will make the audience feel like there entering the room aswell. Then the interviewee enters the room and appraches and is welcomed by the interviewer. The interviewer asks for the information-CV. They have a conversation which includeds the interviewer getting the job. The shot we used for this part of our preliminary task is over the shoulder shot which has an impact on the audience and makes the audience feel like they're included in the conversation. Then we use a two shot whilst they're still speaking which shows that we can use a variety of shot types.
 - The prelimiary task took 3hours as we had to re-film the clip a few times as we got the shot types wrong as we didn't plan it to make it more cimple and organised.
- The reason why we used the shot types we chose is because we thought they fitted in with the dialouge and the narrative of the clip.
- One thing we could improve next time is using a different variety of shot types and spending more time on planning so we know what we are doing so its more organised.
-Overall, i was pleased with our preliminary task and happy with the result of the clip. Even though we repeated the same shot types we still used some variety which made it more interesting and shall make the audeince feel more engaged with the clip which is a positive for the preliminary task.
